No one in hip-hop consistently delivers like The Roots. Their new lp "Undun" is out now and there's plenty of hot joints to savor. At the moment, "The Other Side" featuring Bilal is my favorite but that could soon change based on the number of quality recordings here. Here it is, their 13th album and still going strong. Amazing.

One of my favorite beat makers on the scene today is Mecca 83. His lp "Life Sketches Vols 1&2" is out now and is filled with jazzy flavored hip-hop beats guaranteed to get your head nod on. Hailing from Germany and now residing in London, Flako is a name to remember. In a short time he's making noise with the Preface ep and the track "Lonely Town" featuring Dirg Gerner. Hmm... How come I never see Dirg and Flako in the same room. Could it be that they're the same person? Hmm... Anyway, check out "Lonely Town" because it's truly dope.
